Napoleon Test

OK, I took the test my dad did in 2007 That was nerd, geek, or dork… I took it and My score was 69% Nerd 30% geek 39% dork… My title was PURE NERD!!! Oh well, I’ll Take that as a compliment.

Holiday Research (Thanksgiving)

Sense it is almost thanksgiving I have decided to research an animal we all enjoy at thanksgiving supers so i researched the turkey.

The Tom turkey has a long wattle (a fleshy, wrinkled, brightly colored fold of skin hanging from the neck or throat)at the base of its bill and additional wattles on the neck, as well as a prominent tuft of bristles resembling a beard projecting downward from its chest.

The turkey was originally domesticated in Mexico, and was brought into Europe early in the 16th century. Since that time, turkeys have been extensively raised because of the excellent quality of their meat and eggs. Some of the common breeds of turkey in the United States are the Bronze, Narragansett, White Holland, and Bourbon Red.

Though there is no real evidence that turkey was served at the Pilgrim’s first thanksgiving, in a book written by the Pilgrim’s Governor Bradford he does make mention of wild turkeys. In a letter sent to England, another Pilgrim describes how the governor sent “four men out fowling” returning with turkeys, ducks and geese.

The Sun

The Sun is the heart of our solar system. It keeps everything moving. All eight planets are rotating around the sun. The Sun, as you all know is a star ans is made up of 70%, helium 28%, and carbon, nitrogen and oxygen make up 1.5% and the other.5 % is made up of small amounts of many other elements such as neon. iron, silicon, magnesium, and sulfur. Next I’ll wright about Mercury!

Jupeter is Magnificent

Astronomy is so totaly awsome. My favoret planet is Jupeter. It is famouse for the great red spot, and It isthe biggest. No, Pluto is no longer a planet. Can you see the red spot close to the bottom of Jupeter? Doesn’t it look cool? Yes it is quit magnificent. Below is also a picture of Earth compared to Jupeter. One thousnd Earths can fit inside Jupeter. It’s atmosphere is made up of higrogin and helium. Here is another picture od Jupeter but is is comparing with the sun. Isn’t it cool. I’ll have another story on Jupeter in a little while.

Platypus

What is a platypus? It is a mammal that lays eggs and is like a beaver and a duck. If you would like to see a picture of one just go to google images. They look funny. The vikings used to think the platypuss and it’s tail were two different animals. They thought the platypuses body was the platypuss and the tail was a fish. The platypuss is found in Australia. They are also nocturnal. They eat shrimp and other small fish. They also eat earthworms and shellfish. They were most likely to not have lived with the dinosuares. Thats everything I researched about the platypus for you amusment. Mabe I’ll have another section on the platypus some time else.

Snakes

Snakes are so totally awsome! They are my favooret animal. People, they are NOT, I repete NOT slimy. They are very interesting. Where i live in Texas there are a few non- venamouse snakes. Those snakes just happen to live in my yard. They are small and grey. I have them as a pet every summer. I like to observe their behaviore. Depending on what type of snake it is it either burie sitself in the soil, stays almost still allthe time on top of the soil, or move around constantly. Most snakes don’t do that unless they feel in danger. If you ever think you might want a pet snake i would starte out with a constrictor. Such as the rosy boa and the coral snake. Remember snakes are not, I repete, Not slimy.

Did you know that during mating season, The two leaders of the group mate instead of all of them. The pygmy marmoset female usually has two babies at a time. And here’s a gross fact, the male pygmy marmoset licks or smells the females urine. Eww right. Not to them. It’s normal to them. That’s how they remember their mate.

This is What a Pygmy Marmoset Loks Like

Hey guys, this cute little fellow is a pygmy marmoset. This little guy is found in South America around Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, and Western Brazil. Did you know their babies are as big as an adult’s thumb? I’d loose my baby i the blink of an eye if I were a pygmy marmoset. Go to Google and research pygmy marmosets.
